Additional Langodium-specific terms

Last updated: May 5, 2026. These additional terms are part of the Terms and apply specifically to Langodium's AI language-learning features, live speaking sessions, credits, subscriptions, and platform content.

1. Nature of Langodium

Langodium is an AI language-learning software service. It is not a school, accredited institution, human tutor replacement, certification provider, immigration advisor, exam provider, job-placement service, or professional advice provider.

Langodium does not guarantee any learning outcome, fluency level, CEFR level, test score, accent or pronunciation result, employment result, visa or immigration result, academic result, or other personal outcome.

2. AI tutoring, feedback, and evaluations

Langodium may use AI systems to generate conversation, prompts, corrections, transcripts, pronunciation feedback, progress summaries, memory notes, task evaluations, and learning recommendations.

AI tutor responses, pronunciation feedback, evaluations, transcripts, progress scores, and unlock decisions may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, delayed, or unsuitable for your situation.

Progress scores and evaluations are learning aids only. They are not official certifications, academic records, immigration evidence, exam results, or proof of language ability.

3. Live sessions and third-party providers

Live sessions may use third-party voice, video, AI, transcription, avatar, infrastructure, analytics, security, support, email, and payment providers.

Third-party outages, latency, model errors, moderation decisions, transcription mistakes, avatar failures, voice failures, browser issues, network issues, or temporary unavailability may affect the Service.

Users are responsible for providing a compatible browser and device, stable internet connection, microphone and camera permissions, and a safe environment for live speaking sessions.

4. Session processing and sensitive information

Sessions may be processed for tutoring, transcription, feedback, progress tracking, safety, debugging, billing integrity, abuse prevention, quality review, and support.

User-generated speech, text, profile details, uploaded information, and session input remain the user's content, but Langodium needs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, transcribe, analyze, display, store, reproduce, and create learning-related outputs from that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

Users should not submit passwords, full payment credentials, medical secrets, legal secrets, financial secrets, immigration secrets, trade secrets, confidential third-party information, or other highly sensitive information during AI sessions.

5. User conduct and misuse

Users must use Langodium only for lawful, personal, educational, or authorized internal learning purposes.

  • Do not harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, abuse, defame, or violate the rights of others.
  • Do not use Langodium for hate, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, grooming, trafficking, terrorism, illegal activity, fraud, or instructions that facilitate harm.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, reverse engineer, extract prompts, bypass AI safeguards, manipulate evaluations, abuse credit logic, evade payment controls, overload systems, or use automation to simulate human sessions.
  • Do not attack infrastructure, upload malware, probe vulnerabilities, interfere with sessions, or misuse APIs.

6. Suspension and termination

Langodium may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that an account, payment, session activity, or user conduct creates fraud risk, abuse risk, chargeback risk, security risk, legal risk, provider risk, policy risk, or violates these Terms.

Suspension or termination may affect credits, sessions, subscriptions, stored content, and access to features. Termination caused by a user's violation of these Terms does not entitle the user to compensation or refund unless required by applicable law.

7. Credits, subscriptions, failed payments, and refunds

Credits are access rights for use inside Langodium. They are not cash, stored value, gift cards, deposit accounts, transferable assets, or guaranteed future availability.

Credits may be granted, used, reserved, returned, frozen, expired, removed, or reversed according to the relevant plan, payment, refund, failed payment, dispute, chargeback, promotion, support adjustment, or applicable law.

If a subscription remains active, unused subscription credits may roll over according to the applicable plan rules. If a subscription is cancelled, unused subscription credits do not continue to roll over after the subscription access period ends unless Langodium confirms otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result.

Paid trial credits are valid for 3 months from the date they are granted unless Langodium confirms a different validity period in writing or a longer period is required by applicable law.

If a subscription renewal payment fails, subscription credits connected with that subscription may be frozen while the payment is retried or reviewed. Langodium currently allows up to 7 days for a failed subscription renewal to be recovered. If the payment is not recovered within that period, frozen subscription credits from the affected subscription period may be expired, removed, or otherwise made unavailable.

8. Platform content and intellectual property

Langodium and its licensors own or license the curriculum, user interface, prompts, avatar configurations, voice configurations, exercises, scoring logic, rubrics, software, trademarks, branding, and platform content.

Users must not copy, record, publish, stream, resell, sublicense, redistribute, or create derivative works from session content, avatars, voices, prompts, scoring logic, curriculum, or platform materials unless Langodium expressly allows it in writing and the user complies with all applicable consent and recording laws.

Users must not use Langodium to create or improve competing products, datasets, AI tutoring systems, voice or avatar replicas, scoring systems, or similar services unless Langodium expressly allows it in writing.

9. Product changes and availability

Features, avatars, voices, exercises, scoring models, supported languages, curriculum, plans, credits, session mechanics, pricing, and integrations may change over time.

Langodium is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or latency-free access, and we may perform maintenance, updates, experiments, migrations, abuse-prevention actions, or emergency repairs that temporarily limit or interrupt the Service.

10. Relationship with the Terms above

This Langodium-specific addendum supplements the Terms and Conditions shown above. If the addendum and the Terms above address the same Langodium feature differently, the more specific Langodium feature rule applies to that feature unless mandatory consumer law requires a different result.

Nothing in this addendum limits any non-waivable consumer rights, legal guarantees, withdrawal rights, cancellation rights, refund rights, or other mandatory rights that apply to you.
